Summer Decline

Summer is here! It’s time to look out for Bermudagrass decline. If you do begin to see symptoms, we recommend you refer to the Bermudagrass programs from Bayer, Syngenta & BASF for treatment spots. You can find copies of these programs below!

Recent rains have also increased weed pressure on golf courses in the South. Hopefully everyone has their pre-emergent choice down by now. Good to remember that the length of control is always on the low end with our rains and heat. If the product is saying to re-treat at 70-90 days, you may want to go with the earlier date (better to be a few days early than one day late!)

If you do have weed pressure, at least you have options. For the first time since the loss of MSMA, we can now control Signalgrass effectively and at a reasonable price. Manuscript has shown excellent control with 2 applications. For all other weeds, we have a large arsenal of products from the leading manufacturers including Bayer, Syngenta, FMC, BASF, and PBI Gordon to name a few. 

Extra TIP- Remember to adjust pH and add a correct adjuvant as recommended by the manufacturer to all mixes!
